Ryan Johnston

Ryan Johnston is a country songwriter and worship artist based in Idaho’s Treasure Valley. He writes from real mileage: marriage, grown kids, hard-earned quiet, and the faith that outlasts a full house. The sound is modern country with a gospel backbone — acoustic grit, steel, and choruses built for open windows. The songs track surrender, home, and the second chapter of a life together: Between the Hands That Held Me, Dancing in the Kitchen, Quiet Rooms and Open Doors, and Echoes of Home. Johnston has spent most of his life behind a piano and a drum kit. He started writing as a teenager and has been at it for four decades. AI did not invent the craft; it gave him another way to finish what the old habits started — melody and lyric first, modern tools for the rest. He releases independently and builds the catalog the long way: write it, mix it, take it to people who still want a story in three minutes. Off the mic he is a husband and father in the empty-nest years. That is not the pitch. That is the well.
